The ATTAP Sports Academy „Engiadina Football Camp 2025“ took place last summer at the excellent facilities of Promulins Arena in Samedan, bringing together young football enthusiasts for several days of learning, development, and fun with the ball.
With a total of 17 children participating, the camp proved to be a fantastic success. Thanks to our flexible registration format, some children were able to join for the entire camp while others attended for a few days, allowing more families to take part in the experience. Throughout the week, the focus was on creating a positive, active environment where children could develop their football skills while enjoying the game.
A key part of the camp philosophy was ensuring that every child spent plenty of time with the ball. Most warm-up sessions were conducted with balls at the players’ feet, helping the children quickly build confidence, coordination, and a strong feeling for the ball right from the start of each session.
The training program included a range of age-appropriate drills and exercises, designed to improve both technical skills and athletic abilities. During the camp, the participants took part in:
- Sprint tests
- Speed and reaction tests
- Dribbling tests
- Skill-based exercises
- Small-sided matches and tournaments
These activities not only helped the children develop their football skills but also encouraged teamwork, effort, and enjoyment of the sport.
One of the most memorable highlights of the camp was a special visit from Samuel Ikpefan, Nigerian Olympic cross-country ski athlete. His visit was an inspiring moment for the children, giving them the chance to meet a professional athlete, hear about his sporting journey, and experience a unique connection between different sports.
The final day of the camp offered another special moment: parents were invited to try some of the drills themselves. This fun activity allowed them to experience firsthand how challenging football exercises can be and gave them a deeper appreciation for the effort and focus their children had shown throughout the camp.
Overall, the 2025 Engiadina Football Camp was a massive success, filled with learning, laughter, and great football moments. We are already looking forward to next summer’s camp at the same location.
A heartfelt thank you goes to everyone who helped make this camp possible:
- The Gemeinde Samedan and Promulins Arena for providing access to the football facilities — truly a perfect location for a football camp.
- Restaurant Promulins for supplying warm and healthy meals for the participants.
- FC Celerina for kindly lending training materials.
- Samuel Ikpefan for his inspiring visit.
- And Decathlon Germany for providing the camp kits.
We are grateful for the support of the local community and partners who helped create such a memorable and enjoyable football experience for the children. We can’t wait to welcome everyone back next summer in Samedan
